Drivers I look up to: |
Mark Webber - his determination, will power and his never-say-die attitude. Valentino Rossi - his awesome talent and consistency. Dale Earnhardt Jr - for his controlled aggression on the racetrack and the way he is able to intimidate each and every driver out on the racetrack. |
Favourite Circuit: |
Spa-Franchorchamps in Belgium |
Memorable moments: |
Finally winning my first go karting state title in Western Australia. It came in my last year of karts but it was worth the wait. Becoming the CIK Australian Karting Champion (2005). |
Forgettable moment: |
The ‘what-if-I-never-tried-it’ moment in the Australian Karting Championship (2005), the closest racing incident which was for the lead on the last lap. I had to take a risk and go for it, because I wasn’t going to go home wandering what could have been. Unfortunately this manoeuvre I attempted did not come off my way, but at least I can say that I tried. |
Best part of the job: |
Winning! The reward for all the hard work for me and the team |
Worst part of the job: |
Having to put up with other people’s mistakes on the racetrack and, of course, mechanical problems. |
